As part of Hackney Marsh Adventure Playground’s 50th anniversary events, we held a large hokey cokey dance-off in Daubeney Fields on Saturday 16 July.

This was attended by dozens of children and young people, staff members, and Cllr Caroline Woodley.

Afterwards, young people enjoyed some water play, a celebratory picnic, and got to show their families a rare glimpse of the playground (HMAP is currently a parent-free zone)!

Parents on the day have fed back that the HMAP Play Team have got the balance of interaction right, allowing children to freely roam and play without interference.

They loved coming across all the quirky items we have from the boats, secret dens and odd loose parts!
